Anne Hillsley, B.S. Certified Mediator, Facilitator and Teacher
Anne Hillsley, B.S. (University of Minnesota) is a certified mediator, facilitator and California teacher,
and has a certificate in Conflict Resolution from Sonoma State University. She completed the
Mediation Intensive Training with Gary Friedman at The Center for Mediation in Law, Marin County,
California. She is a certified trainer for “Transforming Difficult Conversations” and currently facilitates
the program in her West Marin community.
Her background, as a California Certified teacher, community volunteer, and mother of a teenage
daughter, planted the seeds for her mediation work. Anne served as co-chair of the parent/teacher
organization in the Lagunitas School District’s Montessori Program and worked as a member
of the Lagunitas District’s fund raising board, L.E.A.P. Anne is active as a community and family
mediator with Marin Mediation Services in San Rafael and SEEDS Community Dispute Resolution
Center in Berkeley. She also works as a mediator for the Small Claims Court in Hayward. She is
devoted to helping communities and families resolve conflicts and build healthy relationships.
